She's not there / Young and hairy.

The Fine arts showcase haven't been on our radar much. He keeps poppin up though, with tracks unbelievably great. "Chemical girl" was released some one/two years ago and sounds nothing like the album it's on. It doesn't sound like much that has been released this millenia. It sounds like one of the great tracks that got away during the 90s. This song just got it.

Another gem is "Modern love". Originally recorded by micro-indie act The Rough bunnies, taken from the TFAS album "Sings the Rough bunnies". A fantastic song made even more fantastic. Srsly a modern classic. A fockin anthem!

Soon TFAS will release a new single, we'll expect anything.

Have posted about Glasvegas a long time ago, but it's worth doing again. Glasvegas just gotta be the best guitarband in ages to come along. Don't bother seeking out their myspace since there are only clips of songs there. They are signed to Columbia and then things like that happen. So uuumm, Yeah.

I like sad music, I like gypsy music, I like russian music

"I like music that makes me cry. I like sad music, I like gypsy music and russian music...but I like Jazz, I like symphonic music...I like...music"

The comedy schtick in the clip didn't age as well as the intro and the music. Great though.

Let's celebrate Marvin with some kinda sad music you can cry to from Nina Simone

From the album Baltimore:

Everything must change

Bonus songs:

See line woman

Black is the color of my true loves hair

Guilty pleasures

There is a phenomenon called 'guilty pleasures'. It's supposed to be songs hip and in-the-know people use when they like a song that used to be viewed as 'not hip'. Case in point could be anything from E.L.O or Toto. 'Guilty pleasures' has taken a lot of flac lately, some accuse it of having destroyed everything that was ever beautiful with subcultures and music. However, we think 'guilty pleasures' always have existed in small circles of friends. It's just the scale of the penomenon that has grown.

The real problem today is the constant flow of music, entertainment, news, real life, emails, blogs and whatnot. Information everywhere and a constant hunt for the new. No time for reflection and deeper understanding of art and artists. We think we need camps out at the countryside with no means of communication where we can just sit and talk, eat and drink with each other. There need to be a change. Some kind of return to the lifestyle nobilities had in the 19th century.

This is how far Sthlm has come in 'guilty pleasures':

"Such a sexy, sexy pretty little thing
Fierce nipple pierce you got me sprung with your tongue ring"(WOOT==!=??!!?!)

Gets a bit better:
"I see the sun breaking down into dark clouds
and a vision of you standing out in a crowd."

"come my lady you're my
pretty baby ill make your legs shake
you make me go crazy"(blush, get the dual message?)

Killer ending:
"come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
uhhhhhh ha uhhhhhh ha
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me
come and dance with me"

Joe Biden and the RIAA

Ok, Joe Biden, the running mate Barack Obama have chosen, is not a pick for the young generation, that's for sure. We guess Obama chose Biden for his experience but also because he is kinda in the same style/age group as McCain and can attract those kind of voters that like McCain types(old, white men that is).

But look at this resume. My oh my. It doesnt look like "A vote for change" or anything like that exactly.

Well, well, McCain will probably win anyway.

Back a yard is where my heart is still I find it hard to depart this Big City Life.

Take a moment to relax.
Before you do anything rash.

Don't you wanna know me?,
Be a friend of mine.
I'll share some wisdom with you.
Don't you ever get lonely,
From time to time?

Life don't work out my way

Blue Hotel, on a lonely highway,
Blue Hotel, life don't work out my way.

Love is all about the timing

Love is all about the timing by Razika. Fantasticly charming. "Walk in dance out" equally amazing. Kommando!

The Office

As you can see by the pictures below, everything is fine over here at the Hybris Office. Just sporting a summer beard, that's all.

I'm as riddled as the tide

On the floating, shapeless oceans
I did all my best to smile
til your singing eyes and fingers
drew me loving into your eyes.

And you sang "Sail to me, sail to me;
Let me enfold you."

Here I am, here I am waiting to hold you.
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you here when I was full sail?

Now my foolish boat is leaning, broken love lost on your rocks.
For you sang, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow."
Oh my heart, oh my heart shies from the sorrow.
I'm as puzzled as a newborn child.
I'm as riddled as the tide.
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Or shall I lie with death my bride?

Hear me sing: "Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you."
"Here I am. Here I am, waiting to hold you."

Apart from the intro, it's pretty much fantastic. Also, the look in Lindseys eyes seem to like trouble.

1. Muxtape had to take a nap today because of RIAA. Well, well, some people never learn.

2. This guy below breaks our hearts:

The Archive from Sean Dunne on Vimeo.

"Paul Mawhinney owns the largest collection of vinyl LPs and 45s in the world. Because of the digital music frenzy and the dwindling interest in physical music formats, Paul was forced to close his record shop. Now facing diabetes and rising health costs, he's put up his entire collection for sale.

If you've got $3 million and a place for 2.5 million records, keep an eye on this one"

3 million dollar is absolutely nothing. That's what we spend on toothpicks in Sweden per capita. We should buy this collection, make it a library, a place for kids and parents to hang out and listen to great music at. Experience shit. Or something.

But no, of course not. We are building a museum of Ingmar Bergmans scrabbling he used to put down on napkins besides his telephone when he was passing time chatting with his friends overseas during the 70s though! It's located on a remote island where only farmers and sheep live and will cost something like 100 billion.

We are also going to build an Abba museum. It will only cost 1 billion.

Don't you ever turn it off

"...if you touch me, well i just think i'll scream
cuz it's been so long, since someone challenged me.
and made me think... about the way things are...
made me think...about the way they could be.
i believe it- why? oh my...
ooh my lord...ooh my lord...i don't even know why...but...

oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don't you ever turn it off!
oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don't you ever turn it off!

feelings...why? oh my: human needs. heartbeats.
i can see it...all. by the way you smile.
i'm smiling too! i see myself in you.
i am with it! ooh man i am wired!
ooh my lord! ooh my lord- yeah...now i really know why!

oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don't you ever turn it off!
oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don't you ever turn it off!"

My god, who could resist falling in love with this big hunk o love of a drummer!?

The daily briefing

Be conservative in what you do; be liberal in what you accept from others. Your critics; First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

Hot summer

Just like the king of pop put it: it doesn't matter if you're black or white!
"This is why I'm hot"

"I'm hot and you're not"

Right path

The summer of Barack continues, unstoppable like a heatwave in Sahara

"If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress"
