The Fine arts showcase haven't been on our radar much. He keeps poppin up though, with tracks unbelievably great. "Chemical girl" was released some one/two years ago and sounds nothing like the album it's on. It doesn't sound like much that has been released this millenia. It sounds like one of the great tracks that got away during the 90s. This song just got it.

Another gem is "Modern love". Originally recorded by micro-indie act The Rough bunnies, taken from the TFAS album "Sings the Rough bunnies". A fantastic song made even more fantastic. Srsly a modern classic. A fockin anthem!

Soon TFAS will release a new single, we'll expect anything.

Have posted about Glasvegas a long time ago, but it's worth doing again. Glasvegas just gotta be the best guitarband in ages to come along. Don't bother seeking out their myspace since there are only clips of songs there. They are signed to Columbia and then things like that happen. So uuumm, Yeah.

Guilty pleasures

There is a phenomenon called 'guilty pleasures'. It's supposed to be songs hip and in-the-know people use when they like a song that used to be viewed as 'not hip'. Case in point could be anything from E.L.O or Toto. 'Guilty pleasures' has taken a lot of flac lately, some accuse it of having destroyed everything that was ever beautiful with subcultures and music. However, we think 'guilty pleasures' always have existed in small circles of friends. It's just the scale of the penomenon that has grown.

The real problem today is the constant flow of music, entertainment, news, real life, emails, blogs and whatnot. Information everywhere and a constant hunt for the new. No time for reflection and deeper understanding of art and artists. We think we need camps out at the countryside with no means of communication where we can just sit and talk, eat and drink with each other. There need to be a change. Some kind of return to the lifestyle nobilities had in the 19th century.

This is how far Sthlm has come in 'guilty pleasures':

We guess Obama chose Biden for his experience but also because he is kinda in the same style/age group as McCain and can attract those kind of voters that like McCain types(old, white men that is).
