Free Paris
Paris - Stars are blind(Scumfrogs extreme makeover)
Stars Are Blind
I don't mind spending some time
Just hanging here with you
Cuz I don't find too many guys
That treat me like you do
Those other guys all wanna take me for a ride
But when I walk their talk is suicide
Some people never get beyond their stupid pride
But you can see the real me inside
And I'm satisfied, oh no, ohh
Even though the gods are crazy
Even though the stars are blind
If you show me real love baby
I'll show you mine
I can make you nice and naughty
Be the devil and angel too
Got a heart and soul and body
Let's see what this love can do
Baby i'm perfect for you
My love, ohh oh
I could be your confidante
Just one of your girlfriends
But I know that love's what you want
If tomorrow the world ends
Why shouldn't we be with the one we really love?
Now tell me who have you been dreaming of
At night at home? oh no, ohh
Even though the gods are crazy
Even though the stars are blind
If you show me real love baby
I'll show you mine
I can make you nice and naughty
Be the devil and angel too
Got a heart and soul and body
Let's see what this love can do
Baby i'm perfect for you
Excuse me for feeling
This moment is critical
Might be me feeling
It could get physical, oh no, no no
Even though the gods are crazy
Even though the stars are blind
If you show me real love baby
I'll show you mine
I can make you nice and naughty
Be the devil and angel too
Got a heart and soul and body

Easy listening
The worlds first official IFPI associated Mp3 blog strives on. Here's some various easy listening since living these days are just too easy. Got rich, didn't die trying, its' summer, living is fine etcetera.
OMD - Souvenir
Who can resist this easygoing video? It's the easy life to an easy tune. Brideshead revisited OMD style.
Herb albert - Rise
Herb Alpert is such a king amongst kings. The king of the easy trumpet. King of easy dancefloors since the 60s. A lot of our parents never heard original versions of foreign songs. To them, Herb Alpert made the dancefloors. Not The Kinks or Small faces. In 1979 Herb Alpert made "Rise". It's such an amazing song, it could have been made for the Miami vice tv series. Miami vice is the best tv series ever and we all want to live in it. Whenever you want the miami groove, plug this on your boombox on the beach and the feeling will be sweeter than ever. Let's go Rico.
Östen Warnerbring - Som en dröm
Easily the best swedish entry in the eurovision song contest ever. Maybe a little too much on the moody side to fit like a super easy song. But it's smooth as silk. It requires no effort what so ever to listen to. Silk n' easy.
Wax Tailor - Que sera
A little more on the modern side than Östen, but with the same smooth silk feeling. Trip hops not dead!
Update: we forgot one José Feliciano - California dreaming!
Contrary to popular belief The doors, The Beatles, The Rolling stones and The Mamas & the papas all are beaten big time by José Feliciano. You heard that Mojo?

Back from Småland woods
A brief summary of the Hultsfred festival: Juvelen, Familjen and The Sweptaways shined like crazy diamonds. The PSL Tent had a line up better than the festival itself. Thursday and friday was sunny. Saturday was a rainy hell.
Other things we noticed: the backstage restaurant served very small portions of potatoes to the vegetarian meal, the Rookie scene is still waaaaayy to big to make any concert feel like fun, no matter where you are or how old you are it's still fun getting drunk with your mates, there were less people than last year.
Here are the different theories people had for the lack of visitors:
1. Ozzy, 50 cent, Velvet revolver and Korn sucks.
2. The price for the ticket is too high.
3. The downloading bonanza/decrease in CD sales has affected the festival scene as well. (A vague explanation, the idea is that people used to identify with being interested in music or assiciate with music in a different way than nowadays when it's not so special to get ahold of music. Before you had to spend time and money before to get music and by knowing a lot about music made you kinda popular in some circles. Whereas nowadays anyone can 'get into music' by just downloading some tracks in a week and the point of going to a festival just to increase your identity as a 'music guy/girl' has decreased. Yeah, we know it's pretty vague. But anyways who knows)
4. There are too many festivals.
5. Accelerator and Way out west took all the good bands.
6. Andres Lokko has finally been able to reach out and persuaded 10 000 people to stay at home.
7. Too few Hybris artists.
8. Kids nowadays just plays WoW. Basshunter and Laser should have been booked. Having Red bull sponsoring a dance floor is not enough.
9. By now everybody that is even remotely interested in going to a festival already has been to several festivals several times and they are tired of it.
10. Paris Hilton is in jail wich spoils the party mood.
Here are Hybris tip for upping the ante in 2008 at Hultsfred:
Book Paris Hilton and the Vip party boys. Throw in Captain Ahab and The Cheeseburgers(free mp3s on their site, tip of the day!) and were all set:
Vip Party Boys. Vipper than you.
The Cheeseburgers. Cheesiest.
Paris. More parisian than you.
Captain Ahab. Your Captain.
On another note, we note that the filesharing "debate" has reached the book publishing world. And just like that we are partying like it's 1999! The LEVEL of it all! Sweet god, the LEVEL! Listen to them: "you don't go into Konsum and steal a package with fillet of beef", "Camilla Läckberg, that has lost tens of thousands of crowns to the pirates is supporting legal alternatives".
People, people, people. When are we going to start talking about what is happening? Things are going on RIGHT NOW as we speak. Right now things are happening. Strict laws, believing in DRM or whatever you think of. Forget it. Back in 1993 there might have been a chance to go down that road. It's all too late now. Look at the facts, see what is happening and act accordinatly after it. It's how YOU act, how the 'Biz' acts, that needs change. Not laws, not how 'the people' acts. What kind of changes do you think you are capable of? It's very silly of you going on like you do. It's extremly difficult to change behavior. Ask Greenpeace, Fair Trade or any ecological movement. The change 'anti-pirates'/DRM supporters/whatever are trying to achieve is a monumental task. Sure, social movements have changed the world on occasions. It's just that you guys aren't a social movement. Actually, the social movement here are the pirates wich behaviour you want to change. You can never change their behaviour because their ideas are better than yours. They have all seen that first hand while they discover new ways to experience culture.
Believe us when we say(again): the only way you can control things on the Internet is by having no control. By doing that, if people dig your stuff, people will support you and whatever you do, if it's writing books, doing movies or music. If people are free to choose they might choose you. They wont choose you because the laws says so.
Here is a constructive way forward: Cheaper, faster, funnier. If you want a more detailed plan, we want money for telling it.

The worlds first official IFPI associated Mp3 blog!
Hello dear music lovers!
Since the global warming-summer we have in Sweden right now temporarily have a pretty chilly night in the Stockholmarea we had some spare time to listen to some music. That lead up to that this blog now is the first official IFPI associated Mp3 blog. Since we are board members in the swedish indie record label association SOM we are also indirectly members of IFPI where SOM is a regular member. Congratulation world! And congratulation IFPI!
Here is some great music uploaded to the WWW for your pleasure, with some modest description of the music. If you are Cat power, Mark E. Smith, Rigas/Moder Jord or the late Billy Mackenzie - congratulations, we adore your work. If you are a copyright owner(label, publisher etc.) and wants us to take down these mp3s: honey plz, we are a record label. As such we have endless resources and lawyers lined up just waiting to chew your head off. So bring it on! See you in court sucker!
The Fall - Lost in music
In Sweden and everywhere else in the world there is a boom of what is generally called an "Indiefloor". The Indiefloor consists of girls and boys in thight jeans, heavy makeup shaking their ass of to Justice. The Falls "Lost in music" works very well on these indiefloors, despite its conservative use of guitars & drums and the fact that it's 21 years old. This is just like old whiskey, getting better and better. And a great intro track to kick off our new IFPI Associated Mp3 blog!
Moder Jord Massiva - Håller mig tillbaka(Rigas remix)
Bonus Rigas remix:
Sir Eric Beyond - Democracy(Rigas remix)
It was sometime just over a year ago we heard Rigas remix of Sir eric beyonds "Democracy". Easily one of the best remixes ever done, we hailed Rigas as one of the best remix crews coming out of Sweden. Now Rigas has done it again with Moder Jords Massivas song "Håller mig tillbaka". Rigas remixes are pure perfectness and makes brilliant songs sound like thousands diamonds raining from the sky. Rigas are a gift from God. Rigas could be God.
Billy Mackenzie - Baby
"C'mon Billy come to me you know I'm waiting I love you endlessly c'mon Billy you're the only one don't you think it's time now you met your only son I remember lover's play the corn was golden we lay in it for days I remember the things you said my little Billy come to your lover's bed Come home is my plea your home now is here with me come home to your son tommorrow might never come Come on Billy you look good to me how many nights now your child inside of... don't forget me I had your son
damn thing went crazy but I swear you're the only one Come alone, Billy, now come to me come alone, Billy, now come to me come alone, Billy, now come to me come alone, Billy, now come to me come alone, Billy, now come to me come alone, Billy, now come to me come alone, Billy, now come to me come alone, and come to me"
There should be more songs about a guy called Billy. Billy Mackenzie should have his own day in the calendar. Someday, somewhere, there will be parades to his honour. Kings and queens will line up and acknowledge him, throwing rose leaves on the parades. Roses will run out that day. No roses-day they will call it. The only day to beat Valentines day in sales. It will be a fine day.
Handsome boy modelling school feat. Cat Power - Be my boy
Have there ever been a more fitting name than Cat Power? The power of the cat. Worshipped since egyptian times. Cat Power should have a pyramid built for her. In the future, there will be monuments built for Cat Power. She is a modern day goddess. Worship and obey her children. She is magic. One day she will return to her people and we will not see her for thousand years until they return and enslave us all. That will be a day of glory!
-----------
Oh, and by the way. Today the first ever swedish filesharer of music was convicted in court. The convicted was a disabled man of 44 years old, previously a lorry driver, suffering from work related injuries and forced into early retirement, his wife had recently divorced him too and on top of all that he got cancer as well. Now he has a 3000$ fine to pay for downloading four(4) songs off a DC++ hub. Some guys have all the luck, eh?
Let's just state the obvious once and for all:
You folks over at
IFPI representing the major labels and various other labels: We are not like you. We have not ideas like you have. You do not think like us. You are not like us. We are different. We will not stand silent as you go on with your shameful behaviour. You should all be ashamed of what you have accomplished. The glove was thrown long ago we guess. Whatever, we will never stand on your side again until you repent. You should all get on your knees and say you are sorry and cry, like japanese business leaders do when they error. You make things worse for everybody. That guy in court today was real, as all filesharers are. Real people doing real things. They are not collateral damage for your "Scared straight" experiment. That experiment are a failure, we can all for sure agree on that by know. So just stop it. This behaviour has gone on long enough.
This is a western clash of cultures and from this day and on we have given up on you IFPI-folks. You are financially dissatisfied and philosophically not trying. You have no creative ideas and your only effort to move forward is to apply old world ideas to new world conditions. Your world is bleak and somber, you see the walls come tumbling down in your fortress. No one supports you. We are having fun and the time of our lives. We have ideas and creativity. We will take over your playfield. We outshine you any day of the week. We have the power and respect. The people are behind us. Your days are numbered.
Have we made it clear now? En garde!
